  • Deuteronomy 4:15-18: Be very careful, then, because you saw no form at the time the LORD spoke to you at Horeb from the middle of the fire. I say this so you will not corrupt yourselves by making an image in the form of any kind of figure. This includes the likeness of a human male or female, any kind of land animal, any bird that flies in the sky, anything that crawls on the ground, or any fish in the deep waters of the earth.

  • Deuteronomy 4:19: When you look up to the sky and see the sun, moon, and stars - the whole heavenly creation - you must not be seduced to worship and serve them, for the LORD your God has assigned them to all the people of the world.

  • Luke 24:39: Look at my hands and my feet; it's me! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones like you see I have."

  • John 1:18: No one has ever seen God. The only one, himself God, who is in closest fellowship with the Father, has made God known.

  • John 4:24: God is spirit, and the people who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

  • Acts 17:29: So since we are God's offspring, we should not think the deity is like gold or silver or stone, an image made by human skill and imagination.

  • 1 Kings 8:27: "God does not really live on the earth! Look, if the sky and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this temple I have built!

  • Psalm 139:7-10: Where can I go to escape your spirit? Where can I flee to escape your presence? If I were to ascend to heaven, you would be there. If I were to sprawl out in Sheol, there you would be. If I were to fly away on the wings of the dawn, and settle down on the other side of the sea, even there your hand would guide me, your right hand would grab hold of me.

  • Psalm 145:3: The LORD is great and certainly worthy of praise! No one can fathom his greatness!

  • Psalm 147:5: Our Lord is great and has awesome power; there is no limit to his wisdom.

  • Jeremiah 23:24: "Do you really think anyone can hide himself where I cannot see him?" the LORD asks. "Do you not know that I am everywhere?" the LORD asks.

  • Romans 11:33-36: Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how fathomless his ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor? Or who has first given to God, that God needs to repay him? For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever! Amen.

  • Deuteronomy 33:27: The everlasting God is a refuge, and underneath you are his eternal arms; he has driven out enemies before you, and has said, "Destroy!"

In earlier times you established the earth; the skies are your handiwork. They will perish, but you will endure. They will wear out like a garment; like clothes you will remove them and they will disappear. But you remain; your years do not come to an end.

  • Revelation 1:4-6: From John, to the seven churches that are in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from "he who is," and who was, and who is still to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, and from Jesus Christ - the faithful witness, the firstborn from among the dead, the ruler over the kings of the earth. To the one who loves us and has set us free from our sins at the cost of his own blood and has appointed us as a kingdom, as priests serving his God and Father - to him be the glory and the power for ever and ever! Amen.

  • Revelation 1:7-8: (Look! He is returning with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all the tribes on the earth will mourn because of him. This will certainly come to pass! Amen.) "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God - the one who is, and who was, and who is still to come - the All-Powerful!

  • Psalm 33:11: The LORD's decisions stand forever; his plans abide throughout the ages.

  • Malachi 3:6: "Since, I, the LORD, do not go back on my promises, you, sons of Jacob, have not perished.

  • 1 Timothy 6:15-16: - whose appearing the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, will reveal at the right time. He alone possesses immortality and lives in unapproachable light, whom no human has ever seen or is able to see. To him be honor and eternal power! Amen.

  • 1 Corinthians 8:4-6: With regard then to eating food sacrificed to idols, we know that "an idol in this world is nothing," and that "there is no God but one." If after all there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we live, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we live.

  • Jeremiah 10:10: The LORD is the only true God. He is the living God and the everlasting King. When he shows his anger the earth shakes. None of the nations can stand up to his fury.

  • John 17:3: Now this is eternal life - that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent.

  • 1 Thessalonians 1:9: For people everywhere report how you welcomed us and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God
