Description

Lord, help me to use my mouth to honor and glorify you.

Verses

  • Psalm 17:3: You have scrutinized my inner motives; you have examined me during the night. You have carefully evaluated me, but you find no sin. I am determined I will say nothing sinful.

  • Psalm 19:14: May my words and my thoughts be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my sheltering rock and my redeemer.

  • Psalm 32:9: Do not be like an unintelligent horse or mule, which will not obey you unless they are controlled by a bridle and bit.

  • Psalm 34:1: I will praise the LORD at all times; my mouth will continually praise him.

  • Psalm 37:30-31: The godly speak wise words and promote justice. The law of their God controls their thinking; their feet do not slip.

  • Psalm 39:1: I decided, "I will watch what I say and make sure I do not sin with my tongue. I will put a muzzle over my mouth while in the presence of an evil man."

  • Psalm 49:3: I will declare a wise saying; I will share my profound thoughts.

  • Psalm 51:15: O Lord, give me the words! Then my mouth will praise you.

  • Psalm 71:8: I praise you constantly and speak of your splendor all day long.

  • Psalm 109:30: I will thank the LORD profusely, in the middle of a crowd I will praise him,

  • Psalm 141:3: O LORD, place a guard on my mouth! Protect the opening of my lips!
