  • Exodus 3:14: God said to Moses, "I am that I am." And he said, "You must say this to the Israelites, 'I am has sent me to you.'"

  • Deuteronomy 6:4: Listen, Israel: The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!

  • Proverbs 16:9: A person plans his course, but the LORD directs his steps.

  • Nahum 1:3: The LORD is slow to anger but great in power; the LORD will certainly not allow the wicked to go unpunished. He marches out in the whirlwind and the raging storm; dark storm clouds billow like dust under his feet.

  • Hebrews 11:6: Now without faith it is impossible to please him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

  • Exodus 34:6-7: The LORD passed by before him and proclaimed: "The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, and abounding in loyal love and faithfulness, keeping loyal love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. But he by no means leaves the guilty unpunished, responding to the transgression of fathers by dealing with children and children's children, to the third and fourth generation."

  • Psalm 5:5-6: Arrogant people cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who behave wickedly. You destroy liars; the LORD despises violent and deceitful people.

  • 1 Corinthians 8:5-6: If after all there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we live, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we live.
