  • Proverbs 3:7-8: Do not be wise in your own estimation; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. This will bring healing to your body, and refreshment to your inner self.

  • Proverbs 3:9-10: Honor the LORD from your wealth and from the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled completely, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

  • Proverbs 24:26: Like a kiss on the lips is the one who gives an honest answer.

  • Proverbs 10:19: When words abound, transgression is inevitable, but the one who restrains his words is wise.

  • Acts 17:11: These Jews were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they eagerly received the message, examining the scriptures carefully every day to see if these things were so.

  • Proverbs 19:27: If you stop listening to instruction, my child, you will stray from the words of knowledge.

  • Proverbs 18:24: A person who has friends may be harmed by them, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

  • Proverbs 27:10: Do not forsake your friend and your father's friend, and do not enter your brother's house in the day of your disaster; a neighbor nearby is better than a brother far away.

  • Proverbs 2:7-8: He stores up effective counsel for the upright, and is like a shield for those who live with integrity, to guard the paths of the righteous and to protect the way of his pious ones.

  • Jeremiah 2:13: "Do so because my people have committed a double wrong: they have rejected me, the fountain of life-giving water, and they have dug cisterns for themselves, cracked cisterns which cannot even hold water."
