I don't really have a concept of what the points mean yet.

Each verse has a number of points assigned to it based upon the number of words. If you get a verse 100% right, there is a 50% bonus added on top of that. Each group has a leaderboard attached to it for those who want to track the points. If you click on my name you will see a Leaderboard Group for All. This is the group most people join if keeping track of points matters. There is also a group for people who have achieved two million points where most of the long time members reside that you can join once you've gotten that many points. Most of us around here just use points to motivate each other toward learning more scriptures. Some choose to ignore it entirely, however. Either way, getting 100k points means you've been around for a week or two consistently, so congrats for giving this website a try!

Thanks onfire247 for always clearly explaining and helping! I will add something else to his comment and hope this makes sense. IF you are interested in increasing points, then you can select "See Sooner" when you are finished testing a verse. When you 'see sooner', you see more often and therefore accumulate more points. But seeing sooner does not move you faster in % learned. I have a little experiment going and am tracking two verses I started Jan 1st. The verse I always click the default time to test spacing is at 85% and the other one I always click 'see sooner' is at 86%. But, I have tested the 'see sooner" 8 more times so have generated more points on that verse. Like onfire said, depends on your interest and motivation. I have limited time, so only click the default setting and only test 20 -40 verses a day. But i do love to see when folks hit numbers with a lot of zeros! To God be the GLORY!!!
