1 Corinthians is one that I hope to memorize someday ... I already have in my learning cycle 2 Corinthians 5. At the moment I'm working on Daniel, John, Romans, Acts and Revelation. But I will have to add fewer verses so that I can consolidate better my knowledge of the verses I've already added. It's all blessing me so much. God is good.

Yes, I might have this 'problem' of adding too much too soon! I started out with lots of random verses, but find it better now to add chapters and books instead - to understand the verses in context. I've learned so much about the Lord than I'd ever known before, particularly now while I'm going through John. But yes, I will have to make sure I don't add them too fast! I have Romans and Acts on the agenda too.

Hello Annette. It seems our experiences have been similar. I started out with individual verses, then scattered passages here and there, but now I'm finding it best to go in order through the books I mentioned. God bless you.

Thanks joosep. Originally I was using another site called memverse, but having tried Learn Scripture, I found that I liked it better and began with individual verses I had already partly memorised from memverse.

Hmm, yes, I also started with Memverse! I still log in there occasionally, trying to keep things current but I don't add many verses. I would agree, that Learnscripture.net is a much more effective method. But, to each their own :)

The good thing about Memverse though, is that there are quite a few different versions of the Bible to select from, but as I'm currently using the ESV and that was one of the three versions available on this site, I'm happy.

Yes, good point regarding version availability :) I also use the ESV.

We do seem to have had similar experiences with Bible memorisation!
Joosep, have you 'fully learned' any verses yet? I was presented with one verse today without the sized boxes ... wondering if that happens later on, or could it be just a site glitch?

Not a glitch AnnetteCN. Just the next level after you have revised it successfully a few times. I'm not sure if it ever gets harder than that. You'll have to ask JDJDJD

Yeah if you get below a certain percent. Maybe under 80%.

Annette, I haven't fully learned any verses yet; from what I've heard it takes about a year for verses to reach that status, and I've been here only since May :)

Not a glitch and no it doesn't get any harder. They just get revisited less and less often so in that sense you might find it harder, but nothing else changes. Eventually you get to the fully learned stage.
