Looking forward to a little competition. Wanting to memorize Scripture to keep me sane and centered while caring for my Mom. Moving from the Denver area to New Mexico next week.

I'm more familiar with "two steps forward, two by four plank to the face" but yeah, I know the feeling.

Hmm. One of those "two steps forward, three steps back" kind of days... know the feeling?

When I just read the Bible, I tend to read a little fast and not notice things. I find that memorising a chapter a few verses at a time forces me to slow down, and in doing so I catch a lot of things that I would normally miss. That´s one of the cool things about learning scripture this way :-)

@rhuddle - personally I am struck by how often God is referred to as 'the God of peace', and how often it is written 'the peace of God will be with you'. Keeps popping up in different places.

I think it would be great to see some testimonies about how the Lord is using the words we are hiding in our hearts and minds. What do you all think? Should I make a testimonies group, or does anyone want to do that here? (along with our friendly, little competition).
