I have been reading in Job and it seems perfect for this time we are going through. So many different things happening in the world leaves me wondering why. God reminds me that He is in control and there is a purpose!

Hello everyone, this is my first time on any kind of group like this, but I'm excited to learn scripture so that I can defend my faith to anyone who asks why I believe what I believe. I am a millennial and I have noticed a strong decline in Christians my age who are able to defend their faith in a culture so saturated with relativism. My first memory verse is 1 Peter 3:15, which says "But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you, yet doing so with gentleness and respect."

This morning, I just want to express my thankfulness. I'm thankful to God that I am alive, that I live in a country which enjoys basic human freedoms, that God through Jesus Christ died for me, paid the price which I should have had to pay for my sins, and because of that I am justfied in His sight (I'm studying Romans at the moment). We have so much to be grateful for -- yes, material things -- but really our salvation is in value so far and above those material things, the comparison can not even be expressed. We will all die, and no one knows the day of death nor has authority over it (see Ecclesiastes 8:8). When we face that moment of death, believe me, our life and our eternal salvation and Jesus Christ Himself and our loving relationships on this earth take on a value far surpassing that of "material things". Amen.

Let's remember in Prayer the people in the path of Hurricane Dorian. Where it has been already and where it is going!

Last year Hurricane Michael hit here and caused tremendous damage to all living here. It was difficult but also gave tremendous opportunities to show a loving church serving others.

This will also be a time that many people will be holding on to the scripture they have hidden in their hearts.
