Hello everyone, how much of Psalms have u guys read? 🤔 I am on chapter 15.

Goodnews 2023-01-01 02:14

Happy New Year. May the LORD work through each one of you as you hide His Word in your heart,

Jappel 2022-03-24 11:03

This seems like a nice place. I will have to admit that my favorite "Psalm" is actually one verse, and that would be Ps. 125:1 (My life verse) It has helped me through the years. If I were to choose a whole Psalm, it would be Ps. 1. Knowing that, if we think about it, if we do rather easy things such as stay away from bad influences and delight in God's Word, we will be blessed.

My favourite part of Learning Scripture is learning the great songs from the hearts of those who wrote them. that is why i have many Psalms on my learning list and love when have the scripture come to mind throughout the day

Goodnews 2022-01-05 19:18

both great to memorize. vadernader!

vadernader 2022-01-02 15:02

Hello Goodnews. Though Psalm 23 is classic, I think my favorite is Psalm 19.

Goodnews 2022-01-02 09:40

Welcome vadernader. What is your favourite Psalm?

janet23 2022-01-02 03:35

Happy New Year to the Learners of Psalms . May the comfort and Joy of the Lord fill your days with singing of God's Word!

janet23 2021-06-27 07:40

What verse is God speaking into your life at the moment.☺️

JDJDJD 2021-05-13 21:32

I’m enjoying Psalm 63 even though I never find the psalms easy to memorise. Love your comments about v1 Joosep. Such a challenge! And rcfc2 I’m looking forward to getting as far as verse 8. What a beautiful verse.

joosep 2021-05-13 07:19

Thank you for pointing that out, Jane. I like the idea of constancy in 63:8. "My soul clings to you". (as it is said in my NASB). I feel that the Lord is trying to teach me to seek Him more constantly -- "rejoice always, pray without ceasing". "My soul clings to you". If something clings, it holds on and doesn't let go! Also verse 1 and the word "earnestly" means a lot to me (in the KJB it says "early". Earnestly -- is for me seeking God a light thing along with other means of entertainment? Or is it life and death, as it is in a "dry and weary land where there is no water".

This is how I feel God is challenging me, teaching me.

I really appreciate Psalm 146 - especially around election time. :) It is a good reminder that so much of what many look to government to provide God perfectly cares for - our trust should always be in Him.

I also love Psalm 63:8. What joy! Even as our soul follows after God, all along He is holding us in His hand - safe and secure.

joosep 2021-05-13 00:51

amen! As to Psalm 63, I haven't started it yet, but have queued it for learning ... but I agree, it's a wonderful psalm

janet23 2021-05-13 00:22

Choose 146 as my next Psalm to learn . Singing to God as long as I live! Praise the Lord

janet23 2021-04-24 10:18

What are your insights from Psalm 107?

janet23 2021-04-08 11:30

Great to see so many learning Psalm 63

janet23 2021-04-08 11:29

Going well goodnews . Glad you are loving the Psalms

Goodnews 2021-04-08 11:27

Just on 16 now .I really love the last verse.

janet23 2021-03-11 05:07

My method has been to start with the shortest ones first and ones where I know some verses already from the scripture in song days. I love Psalm 24. Blessings to you 😇

joosep 2021-03-11 05:02

I'm working now on adding Psalm 24 -- though not going through them in order like Goodnews is :)

joosep 2021-03-11 04:58

It's good to hear that you've been sticking to your goal, Goodnews. Praise the Lord.

Goodnews 2021-03-11 03:48

Up to Psalm 12. It is. Amazing that the ancient words are so current.❤️

joosep 2021-02-05 11:31

thank you Janet

janet23 2021-02-05 10:34

Psalm 113 is a good Psalm to learn . Blessings

joosep 2020-12-31 02:34

Goodnews, that is an admirable goal! May God bless you as you patiently walk to accomplish it! Thank you also janet23 and JDJDJD :) I've always read the Bible a lot, but I confess that I haven't in my life read the Psalms and prayed the Psalms as much as I should have. That's why I felt I should come here and ask that question.

JDJDJD 2020-12-30 23:17

Praying for you Joosep as you go through these difficult times. May you receive great comfort as you learn scripture and get to know and rely on the Lord more.

janet23 2020-12-30 22:10

Psalm 46 is a great choice joosep. May the Lord comfort your heart and strengthen your faith and give to us all the patient endurance we all need at this time. Blessed be God .!! ❤️❤️

Goodnews 2020-12-30 21:54

I decided to start at Psalm 1 and learn them in order. I have just cued up Psalm 10 . It is such a blessing to sing or pray these ancient songs.

joosep 2020-12-30 15:20

I've just read Psalm 4. It's quite apropos for what I'm going through at the moment. Thank you!

joosep 2020-12-30 15:17

Thank you rvfc2. I'm grateful for all the support expressed here, very grateful. I decided to go with Psalm 46. I plan to read it outloud for ten days and then add it to my learning queue here at this site. But all the other Psalms mentioned, I've noted those as well.

rvfc2 2020-12-30 15:05

Psalm 91 has been my cherished help this year and Psalm 4 reminds us of God's past faithfulness. Will be praying for you Joosep.

joosep 2020-12-30 07:51

Thank you PeterP. Duly noted.

PeterP 2020-12-30 07:01

I’d recommend Psalm 34 too. It’s full of promises of deliverance in times of trouble for those who seek God.

joosep 2020-12-30 02:25

you're welcome. I'm making a note of all these, and then reading them as they are mentioned.

mrsmoo 2020-12-30 01:38

:) thanks :) I am working on Psalm 5 which has been a great launching for prayer.

joosep 2020-12-30 01:19

I will be praying for you too.

joosep 2020-12-30 01:18

thank you, mrsmoo, and onfire also

onfire247 2020-12-30 00:56

Psalm 103 is one of my favorites. It both praises God and shows the benefits of remaining in his kingdom.

mrsmoo 2020-12-30 00:49

JDJDJD agree... those two (46 & 91) are powerful. And Psalm 23 great comfort. I would add to the list Psalm 28 which (with other Scripture too) got me through desperate nights shortly after the death of my youngest child. God is faithful and provides. joosep--- will be praying for you.
