Hi everybody, it's great to keep seeing new faces added fairly regularly. The beginning is always the hardest and I want to encourage you and pray for you to persevere. I do so because once you develop a devotional time and make this a regular routine in your life (preferably daily but hey let's not push anything), you WILL BE amazed at how the Holy Spirit will work through you in this spiritual discipline of memorizing scripture. More so, it is simply the fact of being in God's word. Many who are on this site could testify and AMEN because of how it has changed them.
My friend Grey started this group but sadly he has strayed as so many of us do during the different seasons of life, so I ask that you would pray for him to return in order to encourage each other along the way. Other than my friend there are some great people on this website and in this group as well. I have met Joosep and he is very active on this site and encourages others as well as shares his ideas on learning plans. I'm on here pretty regularly as well and I love it. There are a lot of other great people not in this group as well, but you are here, and this is ultimately what you make of it.
What are your study methods? What are you learning? What brought you to this website? What has changed in you since you started learning on this website? Do any of you work in ministry as a profession?
I'd love to hear your thoughts so that we could sharpen each other.
Grace and Peace to you in your journey through life and scripture.
600 points away! It really doesn't mean anything though since the overall rankings have disappeared, and seeing how the study and knowledge of the Word is more important than the point system. I have seen how others have stopped once they reached a high score plateau, or how some have blazed through verses to get a high score quickly. Self worth through points? Wouldn't you call that idolatry?

It depends on why people blaze through verses. If it is to prove to themselves their own self-worth, then yes it is a form of idolatry. But if they have some other reason, such as to simply meditate on God's Word as much as possible because they desire to know Him better, then the motive is good. Only God truly knows our hearts.
As we've discussed before, and I'm sure we agree, the points are "fun" but they pale in comparison to the true meaning and value of this website. :)
He sure did! I wish more Americans knew how the rest of the world lived, or at least I wish more of them would travel so they could see how blessed we truly are. Too much entitlement over here and No fear of God.
Well that will cause a man to move for sure!!! I had wondered if perhaps you were sent there as a missionary. How long have you two been married? Do you have any children?
Ecclesiastes; I finished chapter 1 yesterday and started chapter 2 today. I'm not sure why I responded because all this talk is just vanity and a striving after wind...:) Just kidding.
Holy smokes (pun intended), I just logged on and you are my entire feed from all the new verse sets you have created. Where's the fire and what started it? :)
Thanks you two! It is hard to believe that I have been using this program for three months already, the time has just flown by. Learning scripture has been such a blessing to keep me close to His Word on a daily basis. I have definitely grown in my knowledge of Him and His word because of His grace by using this program on a regular basis. I'm sure you both can attest to having experienced this wonderful blessing in your own lives! Praise the Lord!!!

Absolutely! I am so thankful for this website and the blessing I have received through learning scripture. So much more to learn of God and His word. 📖
I echo those sentiments ..... some solutions are indeed simple. Many of my perspectives on life have been changed for the better simply via a consistent, daily meditation on His word. "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free".
Whoa...nice one. I'm hoping to just get to level 4 at this point. You will also definitely be #1 this week in the Leaderboards for what's its worth. Grace and Peace to you as you continue your blessed journey through scripture.
