Good for you!! Really happy to hear how much this site means to you in terms of helping you to come closer to God and learn more of his word. Congratulations, and God bless :-)
Don´t know how I missed your milestone earlier this week, JDJDJD, but really well done, you are a great example! I wondered how big your "revision mountain" was getting, I find that having now been on the board for well over a year, the amount of verses waiting patiently for me to review is becoming rather daunting! But also encouraging in a way, to see how much we have actually studied. Looking forward to watching you now rack up all your Masters badges!
Thanks! If you go to your login name at the top right hand corner, you can see "verse progress", and if you sort them by strength order, you can see which ones you have learned. I have a funny collection of first verses: about half of them are from John 1, and then there is Philippians 4:4, James 1:5 (which my parents spoke about at my son´s confirmation), and then 1 Cor 15:52 ("the trumpet will sound..", which I know from Handel´s Messiah). Although actually I know 1 Cor 15:51 even better, because it was on a poster in the nursery in the church where I grew up: "We shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed" ;-)
Congratulations! I wish it said which verses people have finished, especially at level 1 because I am curious to discover what the first verse people have memorized is. If I may ask, What was your first memorized verse Robinshe? And perhaps the other 9 afterward?

Ha! My comment was in no way directed at your reference to Philipians and joy - I was just laughing with the author of Hebrews about the difficulty of knowing exactly where to find things. And if you´d asked me where in the Bible to find "the joy of the Lord is my strength", I´m afraid I wouldn´t have been able to say Nehamiah (without googling). But now I know - thanks!
Wow! Great start, you have indeed taken flight! Come and join us on the "leaderboard for everyone" board if you would like some company, lots of great people there :-)
Although I am sometimes frustrated that I can´t remember where to find a verse that I know, I take comfort from the author of Hebrews who writes things like "It has been testified somewhere that..." and "he has somewhere spoken of...". I seem to be in good company :-)
Yesterday I looked out of the window at the start of a difficult day at work and saw every branch of every tree covered with about an inch of sparkling frost, and the sun was just rising over the fjord and the whole sky was cotton candy pink, and with a temperature of -10C, there was a thick blanket of mist covering the water, and I thought to myself: the guy who made all this - he´s on my side :-)
