Description

In Psalm 50, God addresses both the devoutly religious and the wicked, and calls both of them to offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving. We can all choose to sacrifice the sense that we are offering our own money or time to God. Instead we can recognise that all we have is God’s, and come into his presence with thanksgiving.

Verses

  • Psalm 50:14-15: Present to God a thank-offering! Repay your vows to the sovereign One! Pray to me when you are in trouble! I will deliver you, and you will honor me!"

  • Psalm 50:23: Whoever presents a thank-offering honors me. To whoever obeys my commands, I will reveal my power to deliver."
