Description

Reminders to wait upon the Lord and trust him to work for us.

Verses

  • Isaiah 40:31: But those who wait for the LORD's help find renewed strength; they rise up as if they had eagles' wings, they run without growing weary, they walk without getting tired.

  • Isaiah 64:4: Since ancient times no one has heard or perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who intervenes for those who wait for him.

  • Exodus 14:13-14: Moses said to the people, "Do not fear! Stand firm and see the salvation of the LORD that he will provide for you today; for the Egyptians that you see today you will never, ever see again. The LORD will fight for you, and you can be still."

  • Psalm 37:5-7: Commit your future to the LORD! Trust in him, and he will act on your behalf. He will vindicate you in broad daylight, and publicly defend your just cause. Wait patiently for the LORD! Wait confidently for him! Do not fret over the apparent success of a sinner, a man who carries out wicked schemes!

  • Lamentations 3:25-26: The LORD is good to those who trust in him, to the one who seeks him. It is good to wait patiently for deliverance from the LORD.

  • Romans 12:12: Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer.

  • Romans 8:24-25: For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope, because who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with endurance.
