Thank you for sharing that! That's a very noble and commendable undertaking. I did as you know something similar with Luke for several months, but I changed my mind, and stopped. At the time I wanted to figure out a project in which I could be engaged with a larger portion of scripture. Now I'm working on ... I'm reluctant to say, because I've changed my mind so many times, and I'm not proud of that. Anyway, for the last few months I've been working on a plan where I listen and read simultaneously (I find this helps my concentration) and at the same time take notes, listen to pertinent sermons, etc. I'm attempting to cover all of Job through Revelation, and I have a spreadseet where I track the progress. This particular project began last October. I'm also here on LSN repeating verses, passages or individual verses which I feel are important. But, I commend you PeterP for what you are doing, and I guess I don't really know how many years it will take... I suppose it has to do with how many of those remaining verses are at the 90% level or higher. All the best to you!
I'm posting a personal milestone here… I just added the last verse of John 9, which means that I’ve started learning the whole of John. (I’ve added chapters in a strange order!) Looking at the numbers, I see there are 878 verses in John, and I’ve so far completed 436 of them, which is almost exactly 50%. I wonder how many years it might take me to complete the whole book?
