Robinshe - I'm in no rush. I can keep busy if I finish John before then. There's a whole list of passages I want to memorise that I can work on in the meantime. I was thinking Mark, but only because it's the shortest. I'd really like to learn Matthew... or Luke. They're all so good, haha. The first letter setting feels like cheating to me since I can often remember the first letter of a word without knowing the whole word.
Gilligan - Keep it up. I'm always amazed at the things we can do with a few minutes a day.

Thanks for the update, Robinshe. Keep going! I'm still going to do a gospel with you when you're finished if you're still keen! I'm taking a bit of a break from John. Stopped somewhere in chapter 16. Started to get a bit harder to memorise the monologue parts, so I've started memorising Genesis 1-2 which I've wanted to do for a while and its already familiar so that makes it easier.

I remember learning 1 Peter after James and accidentally starting to quote the next verse in James after the quote "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble" :)

I see what you're doing... Those "free" points still won't be enough to overtake me :P

wow I hadn't even finished the verse set before you commented. Romans 1! got a couple wrong. I get the "therefore", "for this reason" and "and since" mixed up when he talks about the various exchanges :) It would be easier for my memory if he didn't change it up, haha.
