When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.
Repetition, repetition, repetition. And taking advantage of the hints provided. Also, I use the first letter option, which makes it somewhat easier I think. So, most of those verses I can't recite fully on command. However, the process of repeating and meditating upon them is a wonderful daily devotion! Thank You, Lord God.
Does Hebrews 12:1 apply here? I think, that's what we are, a "cloud of witnesses" cheering one another on, at least in some small way, and hopefully in a big way :)

That’s exactly how I’d describe my experience of this site - a wonderful daily devotion! And I’m the same as you: ‘fully learnt’ means I’ve grown familiar enough with a verse through repetition, sometimes over many years before I get there! And joosep, I also want to commend you for being such an active encourager of others on this site. God bless you!
You’ve described my experience of this site too - a wonderful daily devotion. I’ve never found anything which has been more useful in helping me have that time than this site. And yes joosep you do a wonderful job of encouraging others as well as being a great example.
I'd like to add my belated encouragement :) This site is an awesome blessing, I can say that even after being here a long time. May God bless you here and increase your walk with Him.
20 Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head, and he fell to the ground and worshiped. 21 He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD.” 22 Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God. (Job 1:20-22)
I thank God that you have shown faithfulness to Him by logging in here every day for two years and adding a verse :) May we all be faithful to Him in a greater and ever increasing manner.
As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last He will take His stand on the earth. Even after my skin is destroyed, Yet from my flesh I shall see God; Whom I myself shall behold, And whom my eyes will see and not another. My heart faints within me!
