Thank you for pointing that out, Jane. I like the idea of constancy in 63:8. "My soul clings to you". (as it is said in my NASB). I feel that the Lord is trying to teach me to seek Him more constantly -- "rejoice always, pray without ceasing". "My soul clings to you". If something clings, it holds on and doesn't let go! Also verse 1 and the word "earnestly" means a lot to me (in the KJB it says "early". Earnestly -- is for me seeking God a light thing along with other means of entertainment? Or is it life and death, as it is in a "dry and weary land where there is no water".
This is how I feel God is challenging me, teaching me.
Slow is OK :) It's much more important to have the right attitude towards God's Word. What comes to my mind is Isaiah 66:2b: "But to this one will I look, to him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My Word." (NASB)
Having said that ... I have my moments when I am humble and contrite, and I have many other moments when I am proud. I pray that I would be more consistently humble.

I'd like to add another possible "tip" to the mix. What I've been doing lately is this: If I have a passage where for example, there is one weak verse at 50% while the rest are 55-65%, I add that weak verse as an individual verse. What happens then is I can test on that individual verse when it comes due and afterward the passage will disappear from the review queue, until more are due.
The downside of this method is that I don't test very well on individual verses ... without having any context at all, I usually don't score very well, but at least it's "pushed forwards" toward the rest of the pack, without me needing to go through all the verses of the entire passage.
Luli2016, I came upon this by chance, and shared some of those quotes with my wife, the ones above from the books you've read. We (my wife and I are both dealing with the issue of forgiveness at the moment, concerning someone who has hurt us, whom we need to forgive ... anyway, I hope this is encouraging to you, that what you shared is bearing / will bear fruit.
It's a good kind of addiction :) There is a joy that comes through the progress you see with faithful repetition. And God speaks these verses into our hearts too, and into the lives of other people around us.
I thought you might possibly be GSHd, because every now and then (during the past couple of years) I would check your activity to see if you had logged on.
