How far have you got? I’m currently enjoying these middle chapters 5-8, where Jesus is teaching / debating with the people. I’m realising how little I’ve read this part, compared to the more familiar sections.
I love those chapters 5-8 also but ... what to say :) I love all of the Gospel of John. It's going to take a lifetime to adequately cover all of it. But I'm glad you're enjoying 5-8 PeterP :)
Actually, I’m enjoying the whole gospel too! I’ve tackled it in a fairly strange order, for no particular reason… the first chapter I learned was 15, some years ago, then I gradually added 10-14, then 16-21, and now for the past year or more I’ve been working on chapters 1-9. So I’ve just got 8 and 9 to start now, and I’ll have started the whole gospel. But none of the chapters are 100% learnt yet, so I’ll be enjoying reviewing John for many more years, I reckon!
it's a good attitude. We have a lifetime to grow closer and closer to the Lord by studying and memorising His Word. None of us has arrived or can sit on their laurels, so to speak :) What I'm lacking in the Gospel of John is chapters 17-21. While I've certainly read that portion many times over the years, I've never worked on those specific verses here in this format :)
