I tried learning James 1 before, but part way through chapter 1 I thought it would be a good idea to witch what version I memorized in and really messed myself up :D
So I let it go for a few years so I could start over lol.

I believe that everyone has the same news feed, comments show up for everyone. There is an exception. Some groups have been “squelched” by moderators and those groups will not show up in the news feed unless you are in that group.
Level 3! That’s awesome! Great job with this, and may you not become discouraged if the streak breaks. The important part of all of this is getting God’s word into you. Keep it up!
Thank you gouts for all the words of encouragement and advice. Great things to think about here… I need more prayer.
I am making it a gosh this week to read through Luke and James with the intention of praying over of these are the passages I want to memorize.
While the idea of memorizing 3 verses a day, each from a different part of the Bible sounds interesting, that would be too disconnected, I think. However, I have thought about alternating books. So learn Luke 1, then James 1, then Luke 2, etc. Luke 1 is a huge first step in itself though (80 verses!).
Still praying over it. I would like to get started next week, though. I miss adding new verses to my memory…
Thank you for all that info. The thought of doing a 3 year project is intimidating, but I was thinking that I could try 2 verses per day, but then taking a week off after each chapter. I don’t know, though. I’m praying hard about this
Amen to that! Me too. Memorization, meditation, time in God's word every day, and time in prayer with him. What better pursuit could we possibly desire to spend our time on? Even though we get tempted to spend time on other things (I'm looking at you, Valheim) they are cheap imitations of joy, compared to the joy of spending time with God and in His Word.
Welcome to the site! May you grow deeper in your relationship with God because of this time you spend meditating on his word. What verse did you start with?
No problem! Wow, it's been almost 1 year exactly since this group was last used. :D I tried setting up a memorization group at Focus before they started up the community groups
Nice! Romans is an awesome book. Good luck! I need to freshen up on Romans 12. I haven't practiced that in too long, and now I need more points so I don't get passed up...
