Thanks to you both. It's a tricky balance between keeping up the new verse per day, and the mounting pile of verses needing revision - just like you said, Janet. But it's satisfying, and well worth while.

And I see you're about to get the next Master badge too. 1 more verse to go!! I'm struggling to give up adding a new verse every day lol. I've done it for so long I'm just longing to learn the next verse. I can't convince myself it's ok to take a break from adding new ones for a couple of months and just concentrate on the old ones.
I've struggled with that a lot too, and I finally decided to focus on the old reviews for now. Of course, I was adding perhaps too many. But, each person has to do it according to what the Lord shows them.
Hi Joosep. No, to set off on the whole of John would be rather too ambitious for me, given that my maximum speed on this app is about 1 new verse per day. I have gone through all of Ephesians in order though - just need to add Ephesians 6 now. Other than that I'm mainly consolidating sections, to put some of the individual verses into their context. God bless you!
Hello PeterP! Do you plan to go through John in order? I have that plan in the back of my mind, and have added and worked on several chapters of John, but now I'm distracted with and working on something else ... anyway, the Gospel of John is a wonderful blessing. Have a good day.

Thank you PeterP! To be frank, I haven't actually memorized much since joining this site back in May, if we speak of precise word for word memorization. My goal is more to meditate on large portions of God's Word. And it has been a great blessing to me in that way. So, my numbers may be a bit misleading.
Context is so very important. When we look at a verse, we must ask ourselves, what is it's meaning in the context of that passage? that chapter? that book or letter, and in the Bible as a whole? or in the context of that event that was happening at that very moment in time, in history? It's nice to hear people speak of context :)
Congratulations, Annette. You zoomed past me too! And another point about fully learning verses: I have noticed that a completed verse does get retested, if it is part of a longer passage that you start. Then if you don't get it over 90% or so, it goes back into the cycle again. (Like JDJDJD, I have several verses from over 2 years ago that I never seem to get quite right!)
