just want to say ... God's Word is so very good ... it's truly an anchor for my life. Without coming here every day and meditating on His Word, I can't say exactly what my life would be, but it wouldn't be anything good at all. There are many ways to meditate on God's Word (old fashioned reading, listening to recordings, singing God's Word, and so on), this is simply one method, but I am very very grateful for it.
I'm also trying to restore in my life the habit of old-fashioned reading of the Bible. Working on that.
Thanks! I was trying to narrow my focus for a while, but then decided I should come back ... this particular group was I think the first group I joined back in 2015.

Thanks for all that valuable input, onfire247. And no problem, it's simply the system that works for me, and not necessarily intended for anyone else :)
Yes. Definitely time consuming at first, but goes much more smoothly once you get the hang of it.
I also started using Anki in this way so that I could review my weak verses in context. When I test myself on them out of context, as individual verses, I invariably do very poorly and it doesn't seem to help much.
To ChatCat, and also to onfire247, I've lately begun using Anki https://apps.ankiweb.net to strengthen my weak verses. I share this if in case it's helpful to someone.
An important thing to keep in mind, however, is that Anki does have a learning curve -- you have to spend some time learning how to USE Anki before it really begins to benefit you.
What I have been doing with Anki is this: I create a "cloze" card for each passage I'm learning. As I review a passage here on LS dot net, I take note of any words which ended up in "red". (Based on this website's parameters). Then, I create a cloze test in Anki for each of those words. (I have one Anki card for each passage -- but multiple cloze tests for each card).
As I review on Anki those weak verses, I also make a point of reading the verse in question aloud, and emphasizing in my mind that word which had been in red when reviewed here on learnscripture.
There's also a specific Anki addon which is very helpful in doing this. It's called "Fill in the blanks -- Multiple typecloze support".
But I want to repeat, this idea is of the most benefit for someone who already uses Anki and knows how to navigate your way through it. For others, I'd say, it's up to you if it seems worthwhile to invest some extra time learning how to use a new program, in order to benefit your scripture memorization :)
If anyone has questions about this, I'll try to answer them here.
I want to qualify a bit what I just wrote. Here on the internet, we don't have the benefit of knowing each other face to face. And so I don't want to be too quick with my words. Perhaps I'll qualify what I said, that looking at things from a distance, it seems like a wonderful and noble work you've undertaken. But on the other hand, you know your own life and circumstances far better than I do, and you will decided how it is best to move forward.
I want to comment, also, that if it's helpful, I've lately begun using Anki https://apps.ankiweb.net to strengthen my weak verses. I've been using Anki for a very long time, actually, for language study. (One caveat, however, is that Anki does have a learning curve -- you have to spend sometime learning how to USE Anki before it really begins to benefit you).

Since this thread is not actually the right place to discuss this, I'll post this also on the Website Help group.
I think there is great value to what you are doing, TheMoviegoer. I encourage you to stick to your plan and keep going forward, in spite of the disappointment you may feel.
yes, Jane, I really agree with that. That's one of the great values of using this site faithfully. It enables a person to, even if she or he has not memorized the verse to perfection, it still enables you to at least partially quote the verse and then quickly find where it is, when you are engaged in conversation with someone or participating in a Bible Study. Then that verse hopefully also brings blessing to that other person or people.
