I agree with what all have said, and would like to add, that the study of God's Word is so important in this day and age. Well, it always has been. But it is so important today because we live in such a feeling-oriented world. Feelings come and go; experiences are subjective. But God's Word is objective truth and does not change. His Word is a rock upon which we can stand, and we will not be disappointed.
thank you everyone, it's very kind of all of you! It's a slow but very enjoyable process for me: by that I mean, adding new ones, but also reviewing old ones. God is good.
We can compare Psalm 1:3 to John 15:5. (To paraphrase a little, if I may) -- If someone abides in the Vine, Jesus Christ, he or she will produce fruit. If you don't stay in the vine, you will be like a dried up branch (verse 6). He also said in verse 5, "apart from Me you can do nothing" (ESV).
