I was interested to see that you are working on Philippians 2:5-11 (a wonderful passage). I listened this past week to 2-1/2 of 3 sermons on this passage that were preached in Feb. at a church I used to attend in Minneapolis. I'm not sure if you would be interested, but the sermons are on YouTube (The Straitgate Church). I find them helpful as I meditate on the passage. God's blessings on your continued memory work.
We also sang a short song from this passage - Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And there is none upon the earth that I desire beside Thee. My flesh and my heart faileth, but God is the strenth of my heart, and my portion for ever. Seems like the scripture that I have learned to music sticks better - even now when my memory is getting quite slippery.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, JeanBeanM! We have so much to be grateful for! 😊 Be thankful unto God, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:4b-5
Welcome to LearnScripture.net Mrsnikki! Looks like you are making a good start. May the Lord bless you as you as you memorize and meditate in His word. :-)
Thanks to each of you! I appreciate the kind words of encouragement from you who are also memorizing scripture - PeterP, joosep and Goodnews who reached this point some time ago, onfire247 who will be here "any minute," and JeanBeanM who is starting the journey. Our Lord is so kind to give us means to connect with and encourage members of His body/the church whom we would likely otherwise never meet. :-) God's blessings to you and, as Goodnews said, "Keep going!"
