I did too much too fast last time and when I broke my streak I just didn't care anymore lol. Now I'm trying to take it slower and just catch up with all my verses without trying to learn something new every day.

Colossians 1:6 is kind of kicking my butt. :D It's a fun one indeed lol.

I started with individual verses, and then moved to larger passages that had meaning to me, but now I'm just trying to focus on chapters or entire books. I finished John 1, and now I'm working on the book of Colossians.

Also, you get points for reviewing. The more often you review, the more points you get. Especially in a shorter amount of time. Someone who checks the site twice a day will rack up points a lot slower than someone who is on 6 times a day. :D

Joosep, yeah... I've reset a few times... I keep switching what version I want to memorize scripture in and I keep leaving for a while and coming back and getting overwhelmed.... I need to stick with it! :D

No worries. The context was implied and not explicit so I can see that being an easy mistake. I just turned 38 last month. 2 more years until 40... :P

I found something that really helped for memorizing larger passages. Not *just* relying on LearnScripture.net but also recording my voice reading the passage and listening to that and trying to keep up with that speed. That plus this site has really made it stick better. I'm looking forward to the next 100! After John 1 I'm going to James.

For me... Giving me something to focus on while I do boring tasks (dishes, laundry, driving) has really been a blessing, helping me to stay focused on God and allowing me to meditate on his word day and night. I'm also learning so much more about several of these passages because I meditate on them throughout the day than I would normally get if I just read them and moved on.

Symota, you said you thank Him for what He is doing through His Word. Care to share any of that?
