Thank you, for all of you who have shared about how memorizing Godโs Word is impacting your life. Thank you for blessing and encouraging us. Our God and Saviour is gracious. We give Him praise for what Heโs doing in and through us.
Hi FinalAsgard: Increased peace and joy are two of the noticeable changes that God has been working in my life since I started memorizing Scripture this year. I give Him all the thanks for enabling me to memorize His Word and itโs wonderful to have a verse to think about throughout the day. Iโve also noticed that Iโve been more conscientious to talk about Christ to others. Would anyone else like to share their thoughts on how memorizing Scripture has helped them?

For me... Giving me something to focus on while I do boring tasks (dishes, laundry, driving) has really been a blessing, helping me to stay focused on God and allowing me to meditate on his word day and night. I'm also learning so much more about several of these passages because I meditate on them throughout the day than I would normally get if I just read them and moved on.
I just love the precious thoughts of Christ I have as I learn the verses. Iโm always so amazed that I donโt spend more time here because I get such comfort and peace as I learn verses. The one that really hit me last night was in Rev 5 where it says that the elders which sit around the throne of God have golden bowls of odours which are the prayers of saints. The thought that my prayers are like a sweet odour that is offered to God. Wow Iโm just bowled over by that. So why donโt I pray more?? Iโm so easily distracted by the cares of this life.
For me, itโs a good way to start the day. I make a pot of tea, and I learn/review my scripture passages, and I connect with God before I look at any emails / messages etc or start thinking about work. This habit usually helps set a good tone for the day.

I once heard an older person was considering getting a four year degree, but wasn't sure it was worth the time investment because of his age. His friend responded by saying, "the person you are four years from now will wish that you had done it." Just think, last year you did not know these five hundred verses. Its amazing what you can accomplish in a year. We're all very proud of you!
