Steve, it allows you to choose to be tested on a verse, even if it is not yet due for resting, while you are working through a passage. There is a menu for each verse, top right, next to the % progress figure.
Is anybody following the chapter-of-the-month schedule? I’ve just realised it has taken me 3 months to add Romans 6, while dealing with a busier life and my review backlog here on LearnScripture. So for the time being, I think I’ll have to consider it as the chapter-of-the-quarter club! :-)
Finishing 600 verses, really having them burned into my mind, would be so encouraging. Good work and be thankful for how the Spirit will use them in your heart.
Congratulations! I know what you mean about being stuck. Sometimes I feel I’m unlearning as many as I’m completing :-) May you progress quickly on to 400!
It depends whether you choose to review a whole chapter, when maybe just one or two verses are due. I always like to review complete chapters, rather than just sections. That’s why I reluctantly decided to slow down my learning a few months ago, in order to give me some chance of catching up with the reviewing. (And because the stats showed that I’d somehow missed a day in August, so I wouldn’t have got to my 2-year badge anyway :-) ) Let’s see if I can keep on top of it now, adding about 3 per week, and reviewing about 40 per day....
Happy New Year, everyone. I find I am in the same position as you, GSHd. I’m already learning more than half of this year’s list, so I will select some other chapters instead. Romans 6 will be the next one for me from this list.
Congratulations! It’s very satisfying to see those ‘verse completed’ messages, after a year’s work on reviewing them. May you see many more in the coming days!
So the moral is... make sure you don’t score less than 80% ha ha! Actually, I just use ‘next’ even if I score very low, because I figure (or hope) that I’ll do better next time it comes round :-)
For Acts, I agree with Joosep. Acts 2 is full of good stuff with the arrival of the Holy Spirit and Peter’s preaching. But it’s a long chapter, so I split it into 2 verse sets for learning, otherwise you need quite a long time slot each time you review it.
Congratulations indeed! That’s a worthy achievement. And I’m also impressed that you’ve reviewed over 600 verses today. That must have taken quite some time!
